Barcelona is one of those places in Europe I know well and visit often. Of all the places I have been to or lived in Barcelona must be my favorite spot in Spain. I have lived in the North, South, West and East of Spain and all those regions have much to offer, but it’s the Catalan capital that combines the joys of a big cosmopolitan city with mediterranean relaxed lifestyle. Its architecture is second to none in that part of the world thanks to Gaudi and his amigos. It has pretty much everything you need – sea, sunshine, culture, beautifully constructed city, mediterranean food and climate. On top of that it is today one of the cheapest cities to live in Western Europe. Photos below come from one of my many visits to the Catalan capital on my way back from the Pyrenees in November. Light that day was the beautiful early winterish type that faded into smooth and soft sunset.
